Doris Day never really gets the attention she deserves, which really is too bad. She is not only a great singer, comedian, and actor, but she is also a great person. She championed the animal rights cause long before it was fashionable and easy to do and I will never forget her work, on and off screen, as long as I live.

ReplyDeleteWow!! My Mother loved Doris Day and we'd watch reruns of her show together. At night, she would sing this song as a lullaby... thanks for posting!!
ReplyDeleteDD is vey underrated as a vocalist & as an actress...
ReplyDeleteMary Anne, Thanks for stopping by, and for your kind words. And the info about Miss Day!
ReplyDeleteBig Mark, I hear you. I grew up with a Mother who wanted to be Doris Day, and watched all the movies, too.
Stephen, I totally agree. Comedic actresses were always underrated.

ReplyDeleteKyle, it is a shame. Just a great person all around. And let us not forget, she stood by Rock Hudson until the end.
