Worth Another Listen - Loverboy

Loverboy Top: then Bottom: Now

Just keep in mind as Friday draws to a close and you have to get through the those last few hours in the office - the weekend is almost here. Working For The Weekend was the most successful song for this Canadian group whose first 4 albums went into multiple levels of platinum.

And here is their first single, Turn Me Loose, also from the 1981 album, Loverboy. Their sound was definitive, and very much their own.

Loverboy is still on the road touring, and you can find out more about them and where thye might be playing here.

  1. Somewhere I have a couple of 45s of Loverboy (I just admitted to being old, didn't I?)

  2. I used to like Loverboy until their concert in Toledo in the early 80s (1982?). They were so F'd up they could barely perform and after a few songs they just kind of wandered off the stage. I don't blame them though. That happened to so many bands I saw in Toledo. I mean, wouldn't you get F'd up if you were in Toledo?
