Lynn Redgrave passed away yesterday in her home. She had fought a long batter with breast cancer. She had a long a prolific career, working on the stage on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in regional theater. She had an amazing comic sense, with great timing. She was best known, however, for her work on television and in the movies, including a breakout performance in the 1966 movie, Georgy Girl. With the role, she received her first Academy Award nomination.

She also appeared often with the Muppets, including this delightful song with Kermit, I Still Love You.

More recently, she appeared in the 1998 movie, Gods & Monsters. It was an LGBT-themed movie, and she was excellent, opposite the amazing Ian McKellen and the beautiful Brendan Fraser. She received an Academy Award nomination.

For her final curtain call I return to the Muppet Show, and offer her a standing ovation.

  1. I did so love her! She was great in Gods and Monsters and wonderful as the freaky 60s baby Jane character in the 1991 version of "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane." She will be missed.
