I was excited to learn songster Aiden James would be recording a holiday song. I was not surprised to learn it would be an original, and that added to the excitement. And now that I heard it, I can tell you the excitement was well deserved. "Winter in Los Angeles" is a view of the season through the eyes of someone living in the Northeast who is spending time during the season in Los Angeles. It is a modern day "White Christmas", with a protagonist yearning for a traditional Christmas, with snow, cold weather, and the glimmer of Christmas Spirit everywhere you look. With his vocals, James is able to bring the melancholia, yet manages to avoid any sense of being jaded. There is a sweetness that really comes through. This is Aiden James singing "Winter In Los Angeles".
I found this song to be irresistible, like much of Aiden's music. It feels so real, like a slice of life. It touched my heart is a very real way.
