Since I was featuring her father in a post later on tonight, it occurred to me that I had yet to feature Nancy Sinatra and her iconic recording of "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'". Written by Lee Hazelwood and released in February of 1966, by the end of that month the song was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Hazelwood, who had also written songs recorded by Nancy's father Frank, as well as his fried Dean Martin, wrote several for Nancy, including the follow up hit, "Summer Wine". But few ould ever coompare to Nanacy Sinatra singing "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'".
Have a great weekend, and look for both Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin in tonight's post!
