Live • Overcome • 9/11 Remembered

911 Firemen

The band Live was set to release their fifth studio album on September 18, 2001.One week before the album hit the stands, the horrendous attacks on the United States happened, killing and injuring people in New York City, Washington, DC, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Some had heard a song on the album, and it quickly hit a nerve. It spoke to a nation that was overcome with so many emotions, and became associated with 9/11. Here is a film created as a tribute to those who died in the attacks, both the victims and those brave First Responders who risked their lives to help others.

Live released the song, and gave the money made from the single to charities assisting the injured, and the families of the dead. You can purchase the song on iTunes and Amazon. Today, we can remember those who lost lives, and be grateful to the First Responders who risk their lives, not just on 9/11 but every single day, as they save lives time and time again with little to no thanks.
