On October 9, 2012, a new album from Barbra Streisand is scheduled to hit the stores. Release Me is a collection of eleven previously unreleased songs accumulated from the last 50 years of studio material. That includes a stunning version of Randy Newman's "I Think It's Going Rain Today," with Newman on piano, recorded in 1971 while putting together the Stoney End album.
That song nearly took my breath away. Of course, this materials was put together for release by Streisand herself, so you can rest assured it will be of top quality. You pre-order the album on Amazon.
