Bette Midler • I Sold My Heart To The Junkman

Bette Midler Bathhouse Betty photo BetteMidlerBAthhouseBetty_zps550d1c58.jpg

I will start off your Saturday morning with a little ditty written by Leon René, under the songwriting pseudonym of Jimmie Thomas. "I Sold My Heart to The Junkman" Was first recorded in 1946 by The Basin Street Boys. The song has been sung by many since, including the brilliant Bette Midler, off her 1998 release, 'Bathhouse Betty'. Bette can caress a song like few others can, and she can just as easily rock one out. Enjoy her sweet treatment of "I Sold My Heart To The Junkman".

You can purchase 'Bathhouse Betty' from iTunes and Amazon.

  1. Great song. Thanks for the reminder of a cd I've owned since it was released but haven't listened to for a long time.
