In keeping with my theme of cover songs today, I bring you one of the truly surprising and charming cover songs by singer/songwriter Jay Brannan. This time, Jay takes on Hip-Hop artist Nicki Minaj prior to her involvement with 'American Idol' on her wonderful song "Super Bass". Jay does it all with just his voice and acoustic guitar. I have seen Jay a couple of time, and his live shows never fail to impress me. His self-effacing humor, striking good looks, and interesting music all blend together to make a great evening.
