I have been enchanted with the music made by the gorgeous siblings from Pittsburgh, known as Candy Apple Blue. I was first introduced to them by SIRPAUL, and they have remained a steady feature of my playlists. Carly and Hoyt Emerick make catchy Electropop songs I find impossible to resist. Recently, they have recorded with singer Nick Bramlett, and it sounds like a collaboration that is great for everyone. Together, they released a new music video for the song "Detonator", and I couldn't be happier. Bold and colorful visuals compliment the song, as well as the handsome artists performing the song. When I found out there was new music coming from Carly and Hoyt Emerick, better known as Candy Apple Blue. The news alone brought a smile to my face, as I am a big fan of their music. Not only are the siblings gorgeous (I mean, look at that picture above!), they are also very talented, creating Electronica I love to play. I discovered them through my buddy SIRPAUL, and since then, I've been hooked.

Recently, Carly and Hoyt have been working with vocalist Nick Bramlett, and from the sound of the first single, it is a collaboration made in heaven. Nick's voice is bold and clear, with an earthy quality that gives him a sexy edge. Carly joins him on the backing vocals, and they blend well. Hoyt and Carly brought the production together, as the track was written, arranged, produced, engineered and mixed by Candy Apple Blue. And there is a seriously cool guitar solo by Kris kHz. I always love to hear the talented and stunning siblings of Candy Apple Blue are working on new music, for I know a treat is sure to be coming our way. So when Hoyt and Carly Emerick released a new single, "The One to Say Goodbye", and mentioned is was off the album 'The Fall of Frenzy', I was more than a little happy. The new song is an Electro-Pop romance, as Carly delivers the lament of a love gone wrong. After all, who really wants to pull the plug, especially if you have a gorgeous partner like Carly or Hoyt to keep you warm on a cold winter night? Candy Apple Blue Banned From YouTube!

In a time when Miley Cyrus can be seen naked and swinging on a wrecking ball, and licking anything that can't move faster than her tongue, YouTube felt the need to delete the music video for "You Turn Me On", the latest written by Candy Apple Blue and featuring Daveo Falaveo. The music video featured Daveo and a cast of other characters, including Hoyt Emerick from Candy Apple Blue, expressing their lustful longings, wanting to meet up with someone who turns them on. It seems like good clean fun to me - much of it takes place in a shower! Thankfully, the video still can be seen on Vimeo, so here is "You Turn Me On", written by Candy Apple Blue and featuring the vocals of Daveo Falaveo.

Candy Apple Blue have just released their latest single and music video, "Now That It's Over". The song, with words and music by Carly Emerick and Hoyt Emerick, is a SynthPop delight, light and bouncy with a bit of a bite. The sexy siblings star in the music video, although the masks can't hide the striking good looks. They are joined on screen by a duo of masked guests, who aren't quite as coquettish as the Emericks, but do show some ghoulish charm. Check out the Halloweenish fun with "Now That It's Over".

Candy Apple Blue never seem to rest, at least if the amount of music they put out is any indication. Carly and Hoyt Emerick are an all-purpose ElectroPop factory, writing, producing, and recording their own music. The gorgeous Pittsburgh-based siblings have a new one to share with everyone, "It's Time We Make Up". This one has a softer feel, with gentle piano and guitar riffs replacing the driving beat often found in their music. I don't know about you, but this song does make me think about rekindling an old romance or two!

The single was written, arranged, produced, mixed and mastered by Candy Apple Blue, and features singer Daveo Falaveo, the host of 'Gay Life TV'. The sexy video celebrates all varieties of sex and intimacies, just in time for the LGBT Pride celebrations across the country. The video features Daveo as well as Brandon Manuel, Debbie College, Kimmy Johnson (aka "Kimmy Cupcake"), Christian Teed and William Fissell. I must admit I also noticed Hoyt in the video, and I did let out a sigh. Check out the video for yourself!

The track is written, performed, and produced by Hoyt and Carly, who also star in the video. They look gorgeous as ever, and their hotness managed to heat up that snowy landscape of Western Pennsylvania.

Candy Apple Blue has a new single out, and a matching new music video. The Electro-Pop siblings based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, have released the video for "Start All Over Again", putting their own spin on the old adage, "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again". But instead of being fable-ish, Hoyt and Carly Emerick admit to being human, and at times bound to repeat the cycle whether we wanted to or not. And I was wonderfully shocked to see Carly going all Charlize Theron, with a new tight blond 'do accentuating her amazing cheekbones! And I am wondering here I can order my own framed Hoyt, to hang around my house... Well, until I can place that order, I guess I will listen to the latest from Candy Apple Blue, "Start All Over Again".

The song is "Let's Get Something Started", a sweet ElectroPop confection handmade by Candy Apple Blue. I mean, if you could eat audio files, this would be a truly scrumptious petit four. Regular readers will remember that Candy Apple Blue are Carly and Hoyt Emerick, the talented and gorgeous siblings who make beautiful music together. I am a fan of the music they make, and love playing it regularly on iTunes.

I just loved that video, and the song. Both Alaska and Carly were stunning, and I promise you my crush on Hoyt is still in full force! The song, featuring Carly on lead vocals, speaks to new love, when you are still trying to figure out what are the rules to the game. In fact, "New Romance" has a great new music video, featuring the duo singing and dancing on the streets of Pittsburgh. They are both so darling in the video, but I have to admit I might have a teensy crush on Hoyt... Anyway, "New Romance" is sparkling Eletro-Pop delivered with charm and wit by the duo. Candy Apple Blue • Mistake

The striking duo in the photo above are Candy Apple Blue, the Pittsburgh-based group made up by siblings Hoyt and Carly Emerick. They first came to my attention through some work with a favorite of mine, SIRPAUL. They had written "Going Down In La La Land", the theme to the wonderful movie by Casper Andreas, performed by SIRPAUL. Recently, I was able to check out some of their original music, and have been enjoying it. I thought I would share two of their most recent songs, both of which you can download for free! First up, I was thrilled to see a music video for the song "Mistake". The imagery is bold and brash, with colors and photo-cubes rolling across the screen. The video and song both feature Carly.
