Just so you can enjoy your Friday night, I thought I would offer up one of my favorite films from writer/director Paul Bright. Since he has made it available online, I wanted to share 'Aaron...Albeit A Sex Hero' with you all. For me, this film is steamy, sexy, and exciting, everything I look for in a movie! The cast is yummy eye candy, something I find hard to resist.

The movie stars Matthew Burnett as the sexy Aaron, and Rafiel Soto as Jesse, a guy whose path crosses with Aaron in an amazing way. So get your Orville Redenbacher all popped, your glass filled, and enjoy 'Aaron...Albeit A Sex Hero'.

The DVD comes with extras, like the trailer, a scene by scene go-to feature, and a behind the scenes mini-film hosted mainly by Mr. Bright. You can purchase 'Aaron...Albeit A Sex Hero' or any other of Bright's films by going to the Silly Bunny Pictures site here, using a PayPal account. It is just so easy, so give it a try!

The Movies of Silly Bunny Pictures

Silly Bunny Pictures

I could hardly let the blogiversary weekend go by without giving a nod to Silly Bunny Pictures, whose quality feature films have graced the posts of this blog on more than one occasion. In fact, check out some of the shots from the movies here. They are exciting, steamy, sultry, sweet, and funny, just like the movies themselves.

Silly Bunny Pictures

It should shock no one when I admit to being a huge fan of Silly Bunny and writer/director Paul Bright. The latest feature, Abrupt Decision, is making the rounds at the film festivals, having kicked off that season with a successful run at the Berlin Film Festival and stars Steve Callahan and David LaDuca. I have yet to see the movie, but am really looking forward to it. This is the trailer for Abrupt Decision.

If anyone is looking to add some films to their collection or to their Netflix cue, you would be wise to consider any of Paul's other films. If you need a bit of a reminder, I have reviewed most of Bright's work here on the blog. The first was the absolutely adorable and charming Angora Ranch. It also stars Bright, and I just loved it.

There is also the movie Theft, a lovely movie with some great actors in it. Bright has a tiny role in the crowd, and did a great job with the direction. The story has all the trademark Silly Bunny charm, with lots of eye candy to entertain as well. Again, I loved it.

Next came Aaron...Albeit a Sex Hero. This movie was so hot and steamy, it brought a bead of sweat on my brow. The action story flies by at breakneck speed, and I was sorry when it ended, cause I could have gone on watching it longer. I bet this would be a fantastic date-night movie. There is plenty of excitement while watching, tons of time when a little snuggle might be in order, and plenty to discuss afterward!

And, finally, there is Altitude Falling, another strong film. Part science fiction, futuristic drama, but it ultimately focuses on on the people at the heart of the drama, and their love. Another great movie I would highly recommend.

For more about Silly Bunny Pictures, check out the official website here. You can also see about purchasing them from Water Bearer Films. They have plenty of great movies for you to check out. You can find them here. You might have seen the Public Service Announcements I have run that were created by Bright and Silly Bunny Pictures. You can find them here, here, here, and here. I ran them because I believe in what they say - that we need to support the artists like Paul Bright, one of many out there creating wonderful LGBT films. Like the LGBT musicians I feature on a regular basis, we need to support them all so they can continue to make their art. Just because you might be able to download on the internet doesn't mean you should. How about getting a sneak peak, and then purchasing it once you know it is a great thing? Or how about just ordering them, cause you know they are gonna be outta this world!

Paul Bright Brings The Light

Leave it to director Paul Bright to figure out a clever way to say something I try to say, no nearly as well or as cleverly. He enlists the help of sexy actors Matthew Charles Burnett and Jon Gale and makes a cameo himself, so give it a look.

Well, I see this as being more than just the film industry. Paul Bright has a crew to pay, as does Eric Himan, Tom Goss, Levi Kreis, Christopher Dallman, and, well, the list goes on and on. When you don't pay for their product, be it a movie or an album, it's like you showing up to work on payday, and leaving without a check. The rent isn't paid, the utilities either. And a generation of voices from LGBT music and film are lost. Don't let that happen. Support the artists who you want to hear. Buy their art.

Indie Movie Support - Abrupt Decision

abrupt decision,silly bunny pictures,paul bright

It should shock no one when I admit to being a huge fan of Silly Bunny Pictures and writer/director Paul Bright. He is currently putting together financing on his next feature, Abrupt Decision. As you would have just gotten your paychecks deposited, I thought now might be the right time to mention you can help with that, as SBP has set up a way for your donations to the production to be tax deductible. The movie stars Steve Callahan and David LaDuca. The story behind the movie is, to make a movie story short, 'after losing his career job in midlife, Denis must figure out what to do next. He never dreamed his life would go to the dogs.' Advocating both spay/neuter programs for pets and adopting animals from overcrowded shelters, this film will be seen around the globe. The filmmaker hopes this film will influence communities to reduce unwanted pet breeding and take greater responsibility for the animals living in our streets.

For those that might need a bit of reminding, I have reviewed most of Bright's work here on the blog. The first was the absolutely adorable and charming Angora Ranch. It also stars Bright, and I just loved it.

There is also the movie Theft, a lovely movie with some great actors in it. Bright has a tiny role in the crowd, and did a great job with the direction.

Next came Aaron...Albeit a Sex Hero. This movie was so hot and steamy, it brought a bead of sweat on my brow. The action story wizzes buy at great speed, and I was sorry when it ended, cause I could have gone on watching it longer.

And, finally, there is Altitude Falling, which I just received in the mail, and hope to review very soon. I haven't had the chance to watch it, but know the work from Bright has been so good, I can't imagine it being anything less than a success!

I know I will support the fundraising effort, because I am just self-centered enough to want Paul Bright and Silly Bunny Pictures to continue to make movies I enjoy. They represent a part of the American fabric often unseen, the non-urban LGBT community. These movies will not be made by the studios, and if you, like me, enjoy seeing films you can relate to, you'll think about giving what money you can to the project. You can do it by clicking here, or on the widget under the opening paragraph of this post.

New Movie - Aaron...Albeit a Sex Hero

Earlier, I had posted about Angora Ranch, a movie I really enjoyed for its charm, including the performance by writer/director/star Paul Bright. Bright's Silly Bunny Pictures has a new offering, the indie feature Aaron...Albeit a Sex Hero. Always one to support the artists I enjoy, I purchased it from the Silly Bunnies website. After all, he needs money to work on the next movie, so I wanna do my part so I can see more of his movies - at the heart, a fairly selfish act. The movie was written, directed and produced by Paul Bright, who decided on this outing to stay behind the camera, save a brief cameo. Enough, now let me get on with the movie.

Picture grabs from the movie.

Aaron...Albeit A Sex Hero is a heart an action movie, good vs. evil, with a twist. I enjoyed it greatly, finding it incredibly crisp for what I have come to expect from an indie feature. Our hero is hot, smart and gay. Aaron, played by Matthew Charles Burnett, is struggling a bit, in a bad job after a bad experience in the last. Jesse, whose 'real' name is Jesus, is a major stud who doesn't gel with Aaron at first, neither able to say the right thing as Aaron introduces himself on Jesse's first day. He is played by hot Papi Rafiel Sotto. The fates have different ideas, however, as they are repeatedly thrown together and discover new things about the other and themselves. Much like the arid setting, the story is steamy and sweaty, and kept my attention from start to finish. The script is pretty tight, with little superfluous baggage that often infects an indie film. Sure, it has its quirks, with things like spontaneous lesbian orgies, icky spiders, snakes and scorpions, and still maintain believability. The characters created are very true to life, like people I know in my own town. The acting is surprisingly good, and Mr. Burnett and Mr. Sotto are sexy and real, and have excellent chemistry together. The bad guys were everything they needed to be, hot and a bit trailer trashy, and ultimately tasty. The ladies of the tour group are funny and charming.

Where Angora Ranch oozed charm and humor, Aaron sweats out sexiness and excitement. Aaron has a much tighter script, and moves at a much quicker pace. The DVD comes with extras, like the trailer, a scene by scene go-to feature, and a behind the scenes mini-film hosted mainly by Mr. Bright. He is funny, informative, and quite the looker himself. I also purchased Theft, the second movie by Bright also featuring Burnett, and I can't wait to watch it. You can buy it by going to the Silly Bunny Pictures site here, using a PayPal account so it is just so easy.
