I just love the fun and sass Long John Baldry brings to "Everything Stops For Tea", the title cut off the 1972 album of the same name. Long John was a great Blues man, a true inspiration to some of the great names in British Rock 'N Roll. Indeed, rockers like Elton John, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, and Paul McCartney listed him as both an inspiration and a friend. And during a period of time when conservative politicians made homosexuality a criminal offense, Baldry lived his life out and proud, never stepping away from his sexuality. In fact, he relocated to Canada, which was more accepting of a 6'7" Blues-loving homosexual.
