The credits for the film 'Out To Kill' will feature several names I not only know, but also have been featured in this blog before. The movie stars Scott Sell as a private detective investigating the death of egotistical music maker Justin Jaymes. I was not familiar with Sell before this trailer, but hope to learn more now! 'Out To Kill' was written and directed by the talented Rob Williams, who also is listed among the producers of this Guest House Films venture. I love Williams' work, and 'The Men Next Door', 'Role/Play', 'Make the Yuletide Gay', '3-Day Weekend', 'Back Soon', and 'Long-Term Relationship' are all films he has made, and all of them have made it into my DVD collection. Justin Jaymes is played by Tom Goss, a musician who has been featured many times on this blog. Tom is also a personal favorite of mine, both for his great music, and his great personality. I can't wait to check out the movie, if this movie trailer is any indication. Check it out.

Before he was murdered, Justin Jaymes made a great music video that was already featured on this blog. "You Didn't Know How Hard" is a fantastic Hip-Hop song, giving us all a glimpse into the world of handsome gay rapper Jaymes. The video is almost as intoxicating as the song itself! This is the official music video for "You Didn't Know How Hard".

You can purchase his final single on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon. The film is now hitting the festival circuit, so you might be able to catch it soon. The DVD is also scheduled for release in the Fall. To learn more about 'Out To Kill', visit the official Facebook page. You can also check out Guest House Films on their official website. You can also find them on Twitter and Facebook. You can learn all about the films I listed about, as well as a couple of collection of film shorts.Get to know them, for I am sure you will love them. To learn more about Tom, visit his official website. You can also follow him on Twitter, or like him on Facebook. Check out his touring schedule, for you won't want to miss him if he is playing in your area. Tom is currently on tour in Europe, but will be back in the States very soon!

Justin Jaymes • You Don't Know How Hard

Like a comet streaking across the night sky, out gay rapper Justin Jaymes stole some headlines with his devilish good looks, bold and brash rhymes, and some sizzling hot boys joining in his performances. Justin just released his brand new music video for the latest single, "You Don't Know How Hard". The groove captures the pain and anguish of living the life of a gorgeous Rap star, as only Jaymes can attest to. Don't let your eyes drift away, you won't want to miss a frame of this. This is the music video for "You Don't Know How Hard" by Justin Jaymes.

As you can tell by the end of the music video, Justin Jaymes was recently found brutally murdered, making this his last work. You can purchase his final single on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon. Well, that is not entirely true. You see, Justin Jaymes is a character from an upcoming film from Guest House Films and producer Rob Williams, 'Out To Kill'. Power-Pop singer/songwriter Tom Goss plays the character, and from the looks of this video, he plays it a bit too well. To learn more about 'Out To Kill', you can visit the Facebook page, and get the latest information.

Date Night - En Forelskelse (Awakening)

The poster for 'En Forelskelse', featuring Allan Hyde & Lars Brygmann.

Tonight, for my 'Date Night' showing, I bring you a really beautiful short film, 'En Forelskelse', or 'Awakening' in English. This Danish film was released in 2008, written & directed by Christian Tafdrup. It stars Allan Hyde, Lars Brygmann, and Julie Grundtvig Wester. It was the following year American audiences got to know and fall just a little bit in love with Hyde, when played the beautiful Godrick on 'True Blood'. Before we touch on 'En Forelskelse', I thought it might be nice watch a trailer for another movie you might want to check out sometime in the near future. This is a peak at '3-Day Weekend', written and directed by Rob Williams.

Now back to the task at hand. In this film, Allan Hyde plays 16-year-old Carsten, who recently started dating Melissa, played by Julie Grundtvig Wester. Things seem to be going smoothly for the couple, who even enjoy spending time Melissa's parents, played by Lars Brygmann and Ellen Hillingsø. But there is one moment in which so much changes, and Carsten truly begins to learn about himself. 'En Forelskelse' runs just under 39 minutes, and has English subtitles.

'En Forelskelse' was the winner of the Robert Award for Best Feature Film - Fiction/Animation in 2009. The Robert Awards are the Danish equivalent of the Academy Awards. The award was well-deserved, as the film told the story of a young man coming of age with a light touch, allowing the story to have a more organic feel. The the performances are all strong, but particularly those by Hyde and Brygmann. They told so much of the story in the quiet moments, and kept my attention to the end. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

New From Guest House Films • The Men Next Door

The Men Next Door Poster

Writer/director/producer Rob Williams has worked on several of the more charming and delightful romantic comedies, and looks like he has another winner ready to work on. However, the man behind Guest House Films. This is the company responsible for the gay-themed films Role/Play, Make The Yuletide Gay, 3-Day Weekend, Back Soon and Long-Term Relationship. All those DVD have found their way into my collection, so it only seems right that this film would as well. Rather than me typing away, how if I let Rob talk to you about it?

There are plenty of ways you can stand up for gay indie features and get a reward for that support. You can give from $1 to $10,000, although I suspect that most of you are more like me, and only have so much money available. For just $10, you can get your name in the credits of the movie, with thanks. For $15, you can get a digital download of the movie when completed, as well as a mention in the credits. For $50, you can get a autographed copy of the finished DVD, as well as some other collectible items. There are many more options to get a look at. To find out how you can work out your investment, visit the IndieGoGo site. You have until Tuesday, May 15th at midnight to lend your support for a production company who has been making films the major studios would dream of making. That is just a little over three weeks. I offered my support, and hope you do, too!

Role/Play Prizes from Deep Dish

Photobucket
Role/Play dvd

I received a package in the mail, and in it found my prizes for a recent give-away on Marc Harshbarger's sensational blog, Deep Dish. The package contained the DVD for Rob Williams' great movie, role/play, as well as the soundtrack. The movie stars the handsome Steve Callahan and the sexy Matthew Montgomery, two actors whose work I always enjoy. Check out the trailer for the film.

The movie is wonderful, so if you get the chance, I would definitely say to see it. Callahan and Montgomery have a great chemistry together, which should not be surprising, as they are a couple off-camera. I loved them in a number of movies. My favorites featuring Steve have been smooth and sexy East Side Story and the hysterically funny Make The Yuletide Gay. Matthew starred in the exciting Socket, and the mysterious Gone, But Not Forgotten. Writer/Director Rob Williams certainly has his own successes, with 3-Day Weekend, Back Soon, Long-Term Relationship among the list. In fact, 3-Day Weekend had a fantastic soundtrack - but I don't think that has ever been offered for sale.

And if you haven't already, check out Marc's blog. It is a great deal of fun, where hot men and Pop culture reside. There is lots of interactive stuff going on, from give-aways to voting for the sexiest men to who'd you like at a make believe dinner party! Click here to see it.
