Okay, so when I saw this movie described as the story of a witch, her husband, and his gay lover, I knew I couldn't resist watching it. In fact, I knew I'd have to post it. The film stars Justine Martin, Dan Fry, and Johan Venter as the aptly described characters, all living together in seeming dysfunction. The young twink is sleeping in, the witch is cranky as she prepares to go to an appointment, and the husband seems more interesting in whining than either partner. Can she sort out her problems speaking with a supernatural therapist, or by communing with nature? At just under 14 minutes, this is certainly a fun watch. The film was written, directed, and edited by leading man Dan Fry, while Venter handled the lights and cameras. This is "Shrine".

Enjoy your weekend!

Date Night • Angora Ranch

I happened across 'Angora Ranch' quite by accident, and I will be forever grateful to the that twist of fate. Within the first few scenes of the film, I was charmed by the characters, and just felt so damned good. It was my introduction to writer/director Paul Bright, and I will admit that I am now somewhat addicted to his work. This is the tale of two men, Justin and Jack, and how their very different lives accidentally intersect, and change both for the better. There is such a sweetness and honesty to 'Angora Ranch', I still enjoy watching it again and again. And now that it is available on YouTube where you can watch it anytime you'd like for free, I thought I'd share it with you all so you can fall in love with it as well.

I am so glad I own my own DVD of 'Angora Ranch' and can watch it whenever I'd like. You can purchase 'Angora Ranch' from Amazon. For more about the production company behind this and a few of my other favorite films, visit the official website. And have a great weekend!

Paul Bright's Got Something For You

Actor/Writer/Director Paul Bright has something he'd love to share with you, if you'd just give him a chance. As the man behind some of my favorite films, like Angora Ranch, Theft, Aaron...Albeit A Sex Hero, Altitude Falling, and the soon-to-be-released Abrupt Decision, when he speaks, I listen. When he starts to unbutton his clothing, well, let's suffice it to say that I pay even closer attention while trying not to embarrass myself. Watch...

You can find the official websites of both Silly Bunny Pictures and Water Bearer Films, and you can order some DVDs. Support LGBT artists, be they singer/songwriters or actors or producer directors. Their work is worth it.
