Tonight at 9PM/8PM Central, on BBC America, we have to opportunity to watch Closing Time, the latest episode of Doctor Who! In the 11th episode last season, we were introduced to Craig Owens, and he returns to the show tonight. Last year, he helped up see what a soccer star the Doctor might have been had he been born human, and on Earth. What can we figure out this time? After all, he dropped off Amy and Rory, like he was planning to go away, right? Watch the trailer.

Cybermen? Cyber Rats? Defenseless babies? Sounds exciting! For more about Doctor Who, check out the official site here and tune in tonight for more magic from Doctor Who!

Tonight at 9PM/8PM Central, the latest episode of Doctor Who is on BBC America. This season, we never really know what to expect, and if you have a title like The God Complex, make that unexpected x10. After watching the trailer for the episode, I am intrigued, and a bit scared as well...

And if that wasn't creepy enough, there is also a clip where the sexy Arthur Darvill, aka Rory, gives us a few of his thoughts on the episode. I mean, a 70s horror flick? The scariest yet? Monsters?!? Can't wait!

I had to include the picture of Rory and The Doctor, the two most adorkable men on television at the moment. If I didn't know better, I'd swear I had a bit of a crush on them both. If the above wasn't tempting enough, check out this longer clip from the episode...

Doctor Who - A Good Man Goes To War

Doctor Who - A Good Man Goes To War

Tonight on BBC America, catch the latest episode of Doctor Who. A Good Man Goes To War airs at 9PM/8PM Central. My fellow Whovians, you'd better enjoy this one, because it is the last new episode until September, when they return with the title Let's Kill Hitler. And, after watching this episode, I can tell you it is an excellent one, and, well, OMG, what we learn tonight!

Photobucket

At the end of the last episode, we learned that the Amy who has been with use for much of the season hasn't been the real one - instead, she is the 'Flesh' one, like the faux-people in the last two episodes. Before the end of the episode, The Doctor promised to find the real Amy, just before he melts the Flesh-Amy, and took off with Rory. We also discover that Amy was pregnant, and the Doctor knew it, although Rory did not. The episode starts on an intergalactic army base, with humans working with the hooded Monks, seemingly preparing for battle with The Doctor. This includes a self-described "Think-Fat Gay Married Anglican Marines" couple who apparently don't have names. We cut to Rory showing up in his Centurion costume, about to wreak havoc on an invading bunch of Cybermen. He is taking no prisoners in his way to find Amy and the baby. Well, except when he tries to get the aid of River Song, who declines, saying she must stay away from the Doctor just now...

Doctor Who - A Good Man Goes To War

They introduce us to Lorna Bucket, a human working on base repairs, and offering a present for Amy's daughter, Melody Pond. The boys also tell us a bit about the hooded monks, who have no head under those hoods, to steer clear of emotional reactions. That leads to scenes with some of The Doctor's nemeses, hearing the sound of the TARDIS, and wondering about answering that call.

Doctor Who - A Good Man Goes To War

The doctor is serious about his intent to find Amy and bring her and the baby home.Thank includes going to Demon's Run, the base, to take on the human/monk teaming, which looks more and more Nazi-ish as they prepare for the Doctor. But they don't seem to be really ready for him when he shows up.

Doctor Who - A Good Man Goes To War

Soon we learn that they weren't after Amy at all, but instead it is Melody the woman with the eye-patch wants. Will she be able to escape with the baby, or will Rory and The Doctor save the day?

Photobucket

The battle becomes a war of wills, then a war of wits. The headless, hooded monks have broadswords that have power running through them, so they are no easy foe. The battle rages, but will there be a winner? When River Song arrives, she will have news that will send all you've thought spinning. It certainly did me!

Doctor Who - A Good Man Goes To War

And remember, no new episodes until September! You can check out the official website at BBC America here. Check out the trailer for the episode.

Tonight On Doctor Who - The Almost People

Doctor Who - The Almost People

Tonight at 9PM/8PM Central on BBC America, time to catch the latest episode of Doctor Who, The Almost People. It is a continuation of the last episode, The Rebel Flesh.

In fact, when we last left the Doctor, the TARDIS was trapped below an acid pool, and there were two Doctors - and not in an-heir-and-a-spare kinda way. More like in the cooked-in-a-pot-of-Flesh kinda way. Unlike with the humans, the 'ganger' (the simulated humans made from some sort of scientifically created goo, sort, one assumes, for doppelganger, the philosophic theory of non-biological twins) struggles with the Timelord's inherent regeneration process, and in assimilating the information of the lives of the 11 Doctors. This makes it especially uncomfortable for Amy and the other humans, as they are being tracked by the 'gangers' of the factory staff, who seem intent on taking over. As the crew sure op the doorway, the Doctor and his ganger are chatting, getting alone eerily well. Actually, they seem identical, save their shoes.

Meanwhile, Rory was out on his own, trying to find and help one of the factory workers. The only problem is they are being followed by the workers ganger, and her intentions are far from good. It doesn't help that the gangers have let loose the acid, which is causing all kinds of problems for the humans. As the two Doctors join up to find a solution to the problems, Amy starts to voice her problems with the new Doctor. It confounds them both. They find a way to start radio communications, but are taken aback when the leader mentions the plan to destroy all the gangers. Amy is distressed when one of the workers speaks of Rory as a casualty. She also cannot figure out why she keeps seeing a woman with an eyepatch...

Photobucket

The Doctor start to empathize with the Flesh, and figure out what is going on. Amy thinks it is because he is the ganger. She truly distrusts him, and soon the others are feeling the same way, wanting to quarantine him. The Doctor wonders why she thinks the way she does. Meanwhile, Rory catches up with the worker he was looking for, and her ganger. The women fight, and a ganger ends up in the acid, melting. Back with the humans, the Doctor decides to send the Flesh-Doctor out to find Rory over the objections of the humans. They find the worker, no longer alive. That means Rory was with two gangers. The Flesh-Doctor is knocked out, and left with the dead worker. Apparently, that was ordered by the human honcho.

As things start to go wrong, with the factory complex starting to blow up, our favorites start to head for safety. They run into Rory. The Flesh-Doctor wakes up, with the gangers over top of him. They think this means all is even now, with a Doctor on each team. Will we get to see what happens when a wall has eyes? How about a pool of Flesh? Did Amy really know the 'real' Doctor? Who is on the receiving end of a holographic call? Can the gangers bond together to start a revolution? Can the humans stop them? Can the humans learn to treat all with the respect due? Who can stop the rogue ganger? Is shenanigans a beautiful word? Will there only be two in the TARDIS for the next trip? Guess you will have to watch to find out...
