Garrin Benfield Tour 2012

It took me several years of loving Garrin Benfield's music before I was finally able to make it to a live show, but I am so very grateful I did. It was incredible, and gave me an even better appreciation of the talent of this musician. I've been to two separate shows with 3 different friends, none of who had any real knowledge of his music. All three left the shows as fans of the man. Here is Garrin playing Wichita at a show in New York City.

You can find out more about Garrin at his official website here. And if he is playing anywhere near you, I would buy that ticket, and make sure you see him. Here are the dates for his upcoming shows.

Eric Himan Tour 2012

The time is right to hit the road, at least if you are Eric Himan. Eric always puts on a show that I hate to miss, and see him whenever I can. He is once again hitting the road to support his latest release, Supposed Unknown. Here is Eric performing the first single off the album Dust, the last time I saw him.

You can find out more about Eric at his official website here. Below you can find some dates coming up soon, but you can get a more current and complete schedule by visiting here.

Tom Goss Tour 2012

Catch Tom Goss performing live in your area soon. Tom always puts on a great show, as you can see and hear in this video when he first hit the road in support of the latest album, Turn It Around.

You can find Tom online at his official website here.

Aiden James Tour 2012

Time for Aiden James to hit the road in support of his latest album, Trouble With This. Aiden never disappoints live, with that gorgeous voice caressing your ears in all the right ways. Here is a clip of Aiden singing his latest single, Best Shot, live.

You can find out more about Adien on his official website here. If he is playing in your area, do see him. It will be an evening you won't soon forget.

Avi Wisnia Tour 2012

When I finally got the chance to see Avi Wisnia live and in person, I was a giddy man indeed. I was a fan, and his Something New album was getting some serious play in my iTunes. Once I heard he was playing a show at the World Cafe at The Queen, I knew I had to be there. Here is a clip from that show, Avi singing Rabbit Hole.

You can find out more about Avi at his official website here. You can also find him on Twitter here. If he is playing near you, make sure you get your ticket to get a taste of his Brazilian-flavored Jazz stylings.

Matt Alber Back On The Road

Matt Alber is headed back on the road to do a few select shows, and that should perk the interest of many. It most certainly caught my attention, but know I will have to keep checking the list, because he isn't coming near me quite yet. What did capture my attention was the incredible video he had for his gorgeous song, The End of the World. You can find out more about this talented out man by checking out his website here. You can see his tour information on the widget below, and check back in to see what shows might be added.

Anthony Callea's Valentine

I love me some Anthony Callea, and have oft said he has the voice of an angel. He is adorable, hot, sexy, out and proud, and so freakin' talented. As I announced a bit ago, Anthony is opening for Whitney Houston on the Australian leg of her World Tour. It seems whenever pop stars go down under, they want Anthony by their side. Ask Celine, and now Whitney. I just wish one of them would being him back to the States so I could hear that delicious voice live. Like, for instance, this performance of Hurt So Bad from his self-titled debut. The song is sexy and smooth, and he sings it pitch-perfect.

Also from the debut, Per Sempre is a gorgeous song Anthony takes to a different place with the acoustic guitar accompaniment. And when he sings in Italian, it takes my breath away.

On his more recent release, A New Chapter, Anthony has a stronger song, like on the song Hearbeat. All about the love, Anthony combines a sexiness with a sweetness, keeping this song playing on my iPod.

The first CD is available on iTunes, although the second is not. Both can be purchased on Amazon, but are considered imports. I have ordered the live DVD and can't wait for it to arrive. I look at the DVD as my way of seeing him live, since I don't see myself flying to Australia any time soon. But if you like what you hear, buy it and you won't regret it for a moment. For more information about Anthony, you can check his website.

Howie & Mikey's Valentines

What could be more romantic than two attractive singer/songwriters, right? Recently, one of the favorites of this blog, Mikey Wax, started touring with Howie Day. Day is most widely known for his achingly romantic 2003 hit, Collide. His rough-hewn vocals contained an aching and longing for that great love. The song appeared on his release Stop The World.

In 2005 he released She Says from the same album. It reached #6 on the US Adult Top 40 chart. The video shows a man bleeding and bruised, presumably part of the injuries from the battles of love.

I've reviewed Mikey Wax on here, enjoying his music greatly, including the newly released EP, For Better Or Worse. But this song is from his debut offering, Change Again. Here is Mikey performing Everybody Everywhere live at the Village Underground on West 3rd Street in New York City.

Twisted Fate opens with some beautiful piano playing, and in the video from Mocha Maya's in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, the opening section gives me a chance to fixate on his fingers. Odd, I know, but I am just being honest. But I really like this song, also from this debut.

So, these boys are touring together at the moment, and the schedule is below. You can also find it at Mikey's website here. You can also get it at Howie's homepage here.

Some Spring Tours 2010

Aiden James, Christopher Dallman, Eric Himan, Eric & the Adams, Garrin Benfield, and Tom Goss have started putting Spring tours together, so I thought I would give everyone heads up on them. Also, Derek & the Darling have schedule the CD Release Party, so they are here, too. While the schedules below are screencaps, you can click on the names above them to be taken to the interactive schedules. I will try to update as changes occur, but you should check the artist or venue schedule to be sure. I know sometimes these schedules will overlap - Aiden & Christopher will have some shows together, and there might be more. If you get a chance, I would highly recommend seeing any of these talents! I know I will, any chance I get.

Touring - Eric Himan

Eric Himan is in the midst of touring, and he better drag is ass to my area soon. After all, it is coming up on a year since I've heard that gorgeous voice. And it will also give me a chance to try to bribe him to get an advanced copy of the single from Eric & The Adams that Eric, Angel & Jimmy have been talking about on Twitter, but not sharing... Speaking of which, once Eric does head East, maybe he will bring the Adams along for a rockin' great show!
