A Wedding Album

TimKristen_019

Last year sometime, my nephew Tim asked if I could take pictures at his wedding. Although I was unsure - I could screw up the pictures of an important day for a young couple - I agreed. Last weekend, the wedding finally happened, and I took all the pictures I thought I should be, and then some... So I thought I would share the pictures of Tim and Kristen's wedding day, and add a bit of music along the way. I will start with the obvious choice, Noel "Paul" Stookey's "The Wedding Song". Stookey was the "Paul" in Peter, Paul & Mary, the great folk group. This song is beautiful, so give a listen while looking at pictures.

If that first song has run out, you can also hit play on this one, the gorgeous "Till The End" by one of my favorite singer/songwriters, Tom Goss. It is such a wonderful song about love and commitment, I thought it was good to include.

OK, Tom, your birthday was yesterday, but somehow or another, I screwed up. So, as I sit here listening to Sigue Sigue Sputnik, cause I was in just one of those moods, you know, I decided I would try to keep it simple, so for starters, here is a beautiful rendition of Tom's Till The End.

Next is another of my favorite songs, King of Something Right. While I love the song itself, I also love how you have managed to change it up over time, always keeping it fresh.

And, finally, I had to include a song from your latest album, Turn It Around, cause it is just so freaking good. I Do is a sweet song, cause even if you are picking on Micheal just a little, I know it is just in fun. After all, he is your husband!

So, after this little homage to you with videos I took at the last show in Philly, and some of my favorite pictures I have taken over the years, I figure I should also give all my favorite links, you know? Like people can go here and purchase this Turn It Around on iTunes. You can order an actual CD from Amazon.Com here. To learn more about Tom, other than what you can learn here, like he is just adorable, talented and sweet, you can check him out at his official website, here. There you can listen to his music for free before you buy it. And speaking of free, you can download some free music here. And before I finish, I thought one more picture from Delaware Pride.

Till The End, the first single off the album Back To Love by great artist and my friend Tom Goss, has been named Outstanding Song as part of the QBliss GLBTIA Creating Change Community Awards. The song, inspired by his relationship with the handsome and delightful Michael Briggs, is a smart and charming song about love. The video supporting it is an inclusive look at love, with many races, ages and sexual orientations represented.

Tom is a singer/songwriter based out of Washington, DC. He is currently on tour, and you can check out his schedule at his website here. Presently, he is traveling across the south. If he is appearing near you, I would advise you go see him, it is a great time. I've seen him often, and am always game to see him again.

According to their website, the QBliss Organization was founded in February 1999. Tom Goss Tops LOGO Click List

Photobucket

One of my favorite artists, Tom Goss, topped the LOGO Click List this past week with his simply wonderful song, Till The End. The Click List is an online voting contest and TV show that plays the 'Top 10' each week. There is a list of over 100 videos, of both LGBT and LGBT-friendly artists and this videos. You can view the videos and vote for them. I tend to vote for the LGBT artists, because I am annoyed enough with LOGO's tendency to play str8 label artists over independent gay artists - they are part of MTV, after all. We should be amazed music videos are playing at all.

But to the matter at hand, Tom's video is directed by another out man, J Aron Hinson. Aron was a college student and fan of Tom, finishing his education with a project, the music video for the great song, Rise. It also found the way to the top of the Click List, so it should come as no surprise the talented team scored another #1.

You can go to the LOGO site and vote by clicking here. You can vote as often as you'd like. You can also buy Tom's inspired CD, Back To Love, on iTunes, CD Baby, or at Tom's official website. At Tom's webiste, you can purchase both Back To Love, as well as his amazing EP, Rise, for less than $15. You can click here to reach Tom's online store.
