Kris Searle • Veins

Kris Searle Veins cover photo KrisSearleVeinsSingleCOVER_zps1536441a.jpg

Kris Searle has a brand new single out, and it is another great one, to be sure. "Veins" is an Electro-Pop song that comes straight from the heart, a haunting song that takes a look at love, and how we know much more that we often let on to others. Check out this video which offers a little taste of the song.

You can purchase "Veins" on iTunes. To learn more about Kris Searle, visit his official website. You can also 'like' him on Facebook, or follow him on Twitter. Kris has made a lot of great music over the last several years, and he might be able to tell you where to find some of it.

January 2013 Playlist • Various Artists

Cheyenne Jackson - Don't Wanna Know Kris Searle - Cry To Dream Again
We The Ghost - Let Me Know David Geftakys - And You
Clockwise: Cheyenne Jackson; Kris Searle; David Geftakys; and We The Ghost.

To be honest, I have been under the weather lately, now suffering from a common cold, which is making it tough to focus and write. I have a couple of new albums I need to get out for everyone to hear and love, but I just haven't gotten it together. In lieu of posting nothing, I quickly put together this post, which includes the first four songs on my January 2013 playlist that I have already listened to several times. So I will start with the latest single from the sexy and talented Cheyenne Jackson, "Don't Wanna Know". I think it is a great video, and a sensational song. I fell in love with it the moment I heard it.

You can purchase "Don't Wanna Know" from iTunes and Amazon.

Next up is another favorite of mine. Just before Christmas, or Krismas, as Searle tagged it, Kris Searle made two new singles for FREE! The best part is, they are both great songs, but only one made it on my January playlist. "Cry To Dream" features an amazing collaboration with Laura Evans, one that touches deep down in my heart. This particular version is dubbed the 'Minimal London Mix', but I am betting this song would sound amazing no matter the mix.

You can acquire "Cry to Dream" from FREE by joining Kris' email list. Check it out on Noisetrader.

I have made no mystery how much I love the music of We The Ghost. The Tulsa-based band recently released a new EP, 'White Noise', which is not a good description of what you find when you listen. The sound is tight and bold, with five amazing songs. I picked "Let Me Know" to add to the playlist, and I am thrilled every time it comes on.

You can purchase "Let Me Know" from iTunes and Amazon.

And, last but not least, I have a new song off the 'Games We Play' album from talented musician David Geftakys. And while the title cut was my first introduction to David's music, I picked "And You", the first cut on the album, to be a part of my playlist. I think there is such inherent charm on the track, it is irresistible.

You can purchase "And You" from iTunes and Amazon.

I hope you have a great week, and I will be able to bring you some great new music very soon. With music from Fontaine James and Ezra Axelrod waiting fro a clearer mind, I am excited because I really love it.

Kris Searle • FREE Music!

Krsi Searle • Dawn of Momentum

'Dawn of Momentum' is the new collection of music from talented artist Kris Searle. The thirteen-track collection features a few songs that had leaked out, as well as several songs I was excited to hear for the first time. The final mixes of "Blue Light Special", "Falling For Your Light (FFYL)", and "Reaper", along with the lead single "Starfire" still have all their charm and delicious Poppiness. The other tracks were completely fresh, and starting with the beauty and longing in the second track, "Disclaimer", I knew this album was going to be special. The fourth track, "Giants In The Dust" is a great song, and features Rapper Tmac, who also appears on "Starfire". Speaking of the lead single, here is the video for "Starfire".

There is a solid Pop sound on "Graduate", and a sweet feel to "LA My Lady". There is just something about "Look In Your Eyes" I find particularly yummy. I could be the honesty shared, or just a great melody. "Momentum" reminds me of the best of New Order, take a wonderful Pop confection to the club. "Reaper" brings back the soul, slowed down to a mid-tempo feel. Then comes "Starfire", which you can hear above. "Sunshine" brings the bright light of love, in sweet Electro-Pop fashion. The album finishes out with a second version of "Starfire", the UK Single edit.

My Dance Party

Gavin-Creel-2 Christopher Dallman Angelo

Clockwise: Gavin Creel; Christopher Dallman; Angelo; SIRPAUL featuring Candy Apple Blue; and Kris Searle.

Well, since I figured out I wasn't going to Philadelphia to see Jay Brannan, I decided to make up a post that was music I might very well be dancing to at home tonight. I would of course include artists seen here on the blog before, that are in regular rotation on my playlists. And as you can see from the pictures above, they are all delicious eye-candy, just waiting to be nibbled on. But mostly, they are amazing artists I also seem to return to when I want to be moved. And they are all independent musicians, working to not only make great music, but trying to promote it on their own. I will start with a talented Broadway veteran whose most recent album, Get Out, remains a favorite of mine. That would include a great song that immediately grabbed my attention, "Whitney Houston".

You can purchase Gavin's Get Out album on iTunes and Amazon. Christopher Dallman writes such personal and honest songs, I can always find a song that will match a mood I am in. In fact, I can usually find several. But I wasn't expecting a dance track, but when DJ Radboy got hold of Chris' marriage equality single "Anthem", I found a great one. So enjoy "Anthem", the Radboy Radio Edit.

You can find a FREE Download Radboy's remix of Christopher Dallman's "Anthem" SoundCloud. Now, Angelo is positively edible in every one of his pictures, but don't let that fool you. His music combines honesty and pain, often wrapped in a jacket ready to go to the club. I absolutely love his latest album, Narcissus Drowned. There is plenty of great music on it, including a bonus track, "Time Bomb" (RAC Remix).

You can purchase Angelo's Narcissus Drowned album on iTunes and Amazon. Somewhere in a musical laboratory, you will find a beaker that combines the chemicals for Electronica and the ones for great Pop music, and you will find a label that simply says SIRPAUL. I've been a fan for some time, and have been thrilled to see constant evolution in his music, always sounding not only current, but just ahead of Pop. I loved the album Music & Me, and one of the singles off the album was "Mistaken", This is one of the wonderful remixes, featuring the talented Candy Apple Blue. Together, they make some incredible music.

You can purchase SIRPAUL's "Mistaken" remix featuring the talents of Candy Apple Blue on iTunes and Amazon. Finally, I will listen to a song from a British transplant making a home for himself in Los Angeles. Kris Searle is making music that combines the UK aesthetic with a growing American one, making interesting tunes. One of those is "Falling For Your Light", a single that really grabbed me, and continues to do so.

You can purchase Kris Searle's single "Falling For Your Light" on iTunes and Amazon. These are some incredible talents, all who would be grateful for your support by purchasing their music. If you do, the joy when you hit play on your iPod will quadruple the return on the investment.

Great Club Music From 2011

Yovanni
Simulover, SIRPAUL & Alex Lauterstein Cazwell
Clockwise: Yovanni, Kris Searle, Cazwell, and Simulover.

When you hit the clubs in 2011, it would be surprising to NOT hear some if not all of the acts pictures above. Especially if you are hitting a LGBT club! They put out some fantastic music, an not just this year.

At the beginning of the year, Cuban-born Yovanni released his single Hello. The song, with the strong elements of Dance and Rock, showed the countless influences of the boy who grew up in Miami. After studying music, he ventured out to make his own statement. This he did. Bold, futuristic, and spicy hot are just a few of the ways you could describe the video. Watch Hello.

You can purchase Hello on iTunes and Amazon.

Earlier this year, a new release came out by Simulover. It is a duo made up of SIRPAUL and Alex Lauterstein, two talented men working in New York City. I am a huge fan of SIRPAUL's work, and had seen him live where he was assisted by the strikingly handsome DJ, Alex. So I was excited to hear the music they made together, and once it hit the internet, I was not disappointed at all. The Simulover album was great stuff, a combination of dance, electronica and industrial music that showed no limits. Check out their first video for the song Tourniquet.

You can purchase the Simulover album on iTunes and Amazon.

For the fifth consecutive year, Kris Searle has won the prestigious 21st annual Los Angeles Music Award for Best Dance Electronica Artist of the year. The British-born Kris splits his time between his home in the UK and his new adopted home in Los Angeles. Searle recently released Falling For Your Light, a great Electronic Pop song.

You can purchase Falling For Your Light on iTunes and Amazon.

It is sometimes tough to write about someone like Cazwell, who has been making great music for several years, and who is just so damned fun to watch and listen to. He recruited a bunch of hot dancers and they made some videos for songs like Ice Cream Truck and Get My Money Back off the 2010 release, Watch My Mouth. Whether it is more fun to watch the video, dance to the song, or just listen to his music on the iPod, you can decide. Cause I just can't, I love to do it all.

You can purchase Watch My Mouth on iTunes and Amazon.

Kris Searle - Warning Signals FREE Download

kris searle

Originally from Kent, England, and now making his home and career in Los Angeles, California, the talented up and coming singer/songwriter has released the new single Warning Signs. The song was just offered for free if you click here and Tweet about it. I think this might be for a limited time, so best to act fast! The song is fun and energetic, while never breaking into overly dramatic. Searle obviously has a strong connection to the lyrics, and it shows in the performance. And the video does celebrate love in different forms.

Kris has a blog that can be found here, and an official page found here.
