B.Slade™ • Stealth Album Released

B.Slade Stealth Cover

The oh-so-talented B.Slade™ released a new album on Christmas Day, and somehow or another I managed to miss it. Well, I have it now, and couldn't wait to share it with you. I don't know how B.Slade does it, but he puts out amazing music, with great depth and range, and it was not his only release in 2012. The music is fantastic, running the gamut from retro-R&B to something new and clean, ready to take on the world. From the title track, which certainly tips a hat to the King of Pop and that era of music, but also has a sound that escapes time, feeling fresh and now.

The twelve-song offering has a little something for all R&B lovers, and a whole lot to offer those who love music. There is the haunting and beautiful December, the last track of the album.

The entire album is, in fact, a joyous journey. You can feel the love as you listen, warming you to the core. You can listen to other tracks on the widget below.

I just have so much respect for B.Slade and his music. You can purchase Stealth on iTunes, Amazon, and BandCamp. If you love R&B, or love music, you should make this a part of your music collection.

Five on the 5th • December 2011

New 5 on the 5th Banner

For the final time, I will post for Five on the 5th, and this month, Stephen Chapman has given the theme of Winter Weekend. Now, I have to say, despite this being November/December, winter has yet to really take hold here in Delaware. So, here are some pictures I have taken here on the farm, taken while on a fall/winter walk. If you'd like to check out the others who are taking part in Five on the 5th, click here and pick different sites from the list.

Jamie Cullum Reminds Us @ Five on the 5th

New 5 on the 5th Banner

I received a little advance notice from Stephen Chapman about December's Five on the Fifth. He has decided to end the monthly effort after two years of participation around the globe with the December 5th installment. "So, the final '5 on the Fifth' needs to feature as many people as possible," Stephen told us. "Just take 5 photographs on the days leading up to the 5th and publish those on your own blog and then add the link to my blog so that others can find your images. As always, you can either take 5 random pictures or follow this months theme: Winter Weekend."

To remind us, I thought I would offer up the song Photograph by English Pop star Jamie Cullum. I love Jamie's voice, and his Jazzy stylings.

For more about Jamie, check out his official website here. Photograph is from his third release, 2005's Catching Tales. You can find it on iTunes here, and on Amazon here.

Five on the 5th - December 2010

five on the fifth

It is December 5th, time for Stephen Chapman's Five on the 5th posts. Since it is something I tend to enjoy, once again I am taking part and encourage others to do so as well. This month Stephen made the suggestion of 'Faces', and I am taking part of that exercise. I went to a couple of family functions in the last couple of weeks, and decided to take my camera with me. So, here are some of the faces of my family.
