GLEE TV - 'Sectionals' Preview

OK, so this is the last episode until April 13, 2010, and typing that in just made me hyperventilate. When GLEE returns, it will move to Tuesday nights, still on the Fox network. I am not sure of the time, since the juggernaut American Idol will be in full bloom at that point, and generally performing on Wednesday, and evict on Thursday, but IMBD has the first two weeks being Tuesday/Wednesday splits.

Well, back to this week. The episode is titled Sectionals, and many of us are still punch-drunk from the Mr. Shu figuring out his wife isn't pregnant. All the kids, save Rachel and Finn, know that Puck is the baby daddy, which means Quinn's lies are unraveling before our very eyes. Will Mr. Shu still be angry at Terri [man he was scary yet still sexy in that scene!]? Will Mercedes, Kurt, Artie, and Tina keep the secret? Mercedes certainly couldn't keep it from the rest of the kids. Will Mr. Shu figure out Terri was planing on taking Quinn's baby as their own? Will all this interfere with the kids getting to sectionals so they can compete? Will cheerleaders Santana and Brittany continue to not date, and only sleep together? Will the 'Mattress' debacle keep Mr. Shu from coaching the Glee Squad? What songs will they sing? How many questions will be left unanswered until they return in April? Maybe this preview will help us out.

I love the Brady Bunch feel! I love GLEE! To catch any episodes you've missed, you can find them online for FREE at Fox On Demand here or on Hulu here. For videos from the show, and links to the songs, click to Rickey.Org here after the show. He has recaps and links.

GLEE TV - No GLEE This week

Because of the World Series on Fox, GLEE will be taking a few weeks off, returning on November 11th with the episode Wheels. I already ran a preview for the episode here. It was announced that the cast of GLEE would be on hand to sing the National Anthem on Saturday, October 31st, for game three of the World Series in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This might make up for NBC not letting the cast be a part of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Some of the spoilers floating around the internet include:
– Artie gets his own solo, singing his own rendition of Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself”
– Sue recruits a girl with special needs to the cheerleading squad. Does she have ulterior motives? Not quite…
– The Glee club hold a bake sale to raise money for their next competition
– Kurt and Rachel compete for the lead in singing “Defying Gravity” from the Wicked musical. (One of them throws the competition!)
– Tina and Artie share a kiss… but things don’t end well.
– Kurt and his father get in some touching father-son moments
– The Glee club does a rousing performance of Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary”… all in wheelchairs!

Thanks for Just Jared for the spoilers, you can find them here.

Great Television - Glee

I might be the geekiest gay boy evah, but I am truly excited about the first episode of Glee tonight! Honestly, I am practically giggling like a teenage girl here. The premiere episode was sooooo long ago, and I loved it, but making me wait this long was almost criminal! However, to recap that first episode, watch this.

So tonight, at 9PM, we all know I will be glued to the TV, even foregoing my addiction to US Open tennis on ESPN2, to watch this show. Here is a promo for tonight's episode - don't let the next Wednesday night thing confuse you, the promo was aired last week.

Keep in mind I have a bit of a crush on teacher Will, played by Broadway veteran Matthew Morrison. He was in the recent revival of South Pacific, looking stunning.

Yes, I am a bit giddy!
