Today Aiden James is offering a free download of his song On My Sleeve, a live recording of a new song from a radio interview on WXPN. Not sure how long it will be available, so better go get it now! Aiden is the gifted and talented out singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, one whom I have seen several times live, each time making me a bigger fan. You can get the song free here. Here is a clip of Aiden with equally talented Chris Dallman on their Double Trouble Tour, Aiden singing his fantastic You And He, and Chris offering an able assist.

Well, I couldn't partake in the Double Trouble experience, being about 3,000 miles away, so I plan to do my own version, and catch Aiden James live in two shows, Friday night at the Tin Angel in Philadelphia, and possibly Saturday night in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. And I just discovered Aiden will have a film crew there, I would guess either for a live video, or a live DVD. Either way, it will be fun to be there to watch! In the meantime, here is a video from the recent Double Trouble tour featuring Aiden and his song You and He, with Christopher Dallman joining in to support him. It was taped at the Skylark Club in Seattle, Washington. Special thanks for lagaringer for posting to YouTube.
Last year, Aiden recorded a show at the Tin Angel for a CD release, appropriately named Live At The Tin Angel. It featured twelve great songs, including a fun Diva Tribute.
A new song, Clock On The Wall, was also featured, and I like it very much. I like the entire album, which you can purchase at Bandcamp for $14.99 for the shipped CD, and just $7.99 for an MP3 download. If you enjoy Aiden's voice, I would heartily recommend purchasing it here. You can also check out his official webpage here.
Aiden James is another of the singer/songwriters who opened for Eric Himan that I immediately knew I would be following for some time. His voice is like honey to me, pure and smooth, and just pours over your senses. He was recently chosen to play at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival as part of the Emerging Artist Showcase. He will be playing alongside such notables as Ani Difranco, Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams and others next month.
His first CD, Have You Ever, had just one heart-felt song after another. From the first cut, James, to the last cut, Moonlight, there is one gem after another.
Last fall, he released On The Run, an introspective and seemingly personal offering that is again filled with amazing songs. My favorite from the CD is My Oh My, a folky bluegrass song that is all about love. The music and vocals are perfect. There is also the achingly bittersweet Satellites. And the unforgettable You And He, a story about friends having a cup of coffee.
He doesn't have any videos, so that was a collection of pictures I have taken of Aiden at various shows set to his music. But he will be releasing a video on August 7, and I will put it up once it is released. You can find out more about Aiden at his website.
